This fungus attacks nymphs and adults and sticks to the leaf underside .Verticillium lecanii is considered to control whitefly and several aphid species.
It is used as an entomopathogen (infects insects) for controlling insect pests like mealybugs and mites and aphids.
Controlling ants is the easiest way to keep aphids under check. These ants hoard the aphids to "milk" the sweet secretion just like we keep cows for our milk needs!
Start with Spraying soap nut water daily on these Insects. Don't add any other things.
Later ladybird beetles will take charge of pest control.
If infestations are not under control, then use the bio controller named
Verticillium Lecanii.
This is effective against green worms, armyworms, diamonds, wake moths, whitefly, aphids, jassids, green/brown hoppers, scale insects, mealy bugs, mites, leaf miners, borers, grubs etc.
Foliar spray- Mix 5 – 10 ml per lit. of water, stir well to form uniform suspension and Spray immediately on the target pest during early morning or evening hours by using high volume spray cover both sides of the leaves with spray solution.
